These terms apply when you order from Ah Pa’s Chilli 辣爸 (“we”, “us”), a home-based food business in Singapore, through WhatsApp, Instagram or this website. By placing an order, you agree to them. Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under Singapore law.

1. About us

1. We cook in small batches in a home kitchen in north-east Singapore, under the home-based business rules set by HDB and URA. Home-based food businesses do not need a licence from the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), and we are not an SFA-licensed food establishment.
2. We follow SFA’s requirements for home-based food businesses, and we use ingredients from legitimate, licensed suppliers.
3. Our home is not a shop. There are no walk-ins; collection is only at the place and time we agree with you.

2. Orders

1. You can order by WhatsApp (+65 9770 2333) or Instagram (@ahpachilli). The order form on this website only prepares a WhatsApp message with your order details; nothing is ordered until you send it and we confirm.
2. Your order is accepted only when we confirm the items, price and collection or delivery arrangement with you.
3. Because we make everything in small batches, we may decline an order, limit quantities or offer a later date. If we cannot fulfil an order you have paid for, we will refund you in full.
4. Please give us your correct name, phone number and address, and tell us about any allergies or dietary needs before we confirm.

3. Prices and payment

1. Prices are in Singapore dollars. From 1 October 2026: Signature Chilli S$10 and Sambal Belacan S$18 per jar; delivery S$5 per order; self-collection free.
2. Prices may change. The price we confirm when we accept your order is the price you pay. If a price on this website is wrong, we will tell you before confirming your order.
3. Payment is by PayNow or bank transfer before collection or delivery, or cash on self-collection. We may hold your jars until payment is received.

4. Self-collection

1. Self-collection is from our home in Hougang. The address is shown when you choose self-collect in the order form, and we agree the collection time with you on WhatsApp.
2. Please collect at the agreed time. If an order is not collected within 7 days of the agreed date and you have not arranged another time with us, we may cancel it. As each jar is made fresh for you, refunds for uncollected orders are at our discretion.
3. Once you collect your jars, they are your responsibility.

5. Delivery

1. We deliver within Singapore only, for S$5 per order unless we tell you otherwise. Delivery times are estimates.
2. Please make sure someone can receive the order. If delivery fails because the address is wrong or no one is available, a new delivery fee may apply.
3. Your jars become your responsibility once they are delivered to the address you gave us, including when left at your door at your request.
4. We may use third-party couriers. We will help follow up on any problem, but we are not responsible for delays outside our reasonable control.

6. Taking jars overseas

1. We do not ship overseas.
2. If you take or send our jars abroad, you are responsible for packing them, for airline rules (jars of chilli paste are usually treated as liquids or gels in cabin baggage), and for the customs and food-import rules of the destination. Some countries restrict foods containing seafood, such as the shrimp paste in our Sambal Belacan.
3. We are not responsible for leaks, breakage, confiscation or spoilage during travel or overseas shipping.

7. Cancellations, problems and refunds

1. You can cancel or change your order free of charge before we start preparing it. After that, we cannot cancel, as each batch is made fresh for you.
2. For food safety, we cannot take back jars that have left our hands, or accept returns because you have changed your mind.
3. If something is wrong with your order (a wrong item, a damaged or leaking jar on arrival, or chilli that is not of satisfactory quality), please tell us within 48 hours of receiving it, with photos, and keep the jar. We will replace it or refund you.
4. Refunds are made to your original payment method, normally within 7 days. This does not affect your rights under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act or the Sale of Goods Act.

8. Allergens and dietary information

1. Our Sambal Belacan contains shrimp paste (a crustacean shellfish) and is not vegetarian. Our Signature Chilli is plant-based.
2. Our kitchen is also a family kitchen, used for everyday cooking that may involve common allergens such as shellfish, fish, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, egg, milk, sesame and wheat. We cannot guarantee that any jar is free from traces of these.
3. We are not halal-certified.
4. If you, or anyone you are buying for, has a food allergy, intolerance or dietary requirement, ask us about the ingredients before ordering, and do not order if you are unsure. If you give our chilli to others, please pass this information on.

9. Heat and safe enjoyment

1. Our chilli is very spicy, even at level 1. Taste a little first. It is not suitable for young children, or for anyone advised by a doctor to avoid spicy food.
2. Avoid contact with your eyes, and wash your hands after handling.
3. We use fresh ingredients and no preservatives, so heat, colour and texture vary a little from batch to batch. This is natural and not a defect.

10. Storage and shelf life

1. Refrigerate your jars as soon as you receive them, and keep them refrigerated. Always use a clean, dry spoon and keep the lid closed.
2. Kept this way, our chilli keeps for up to 3 months.
3. Do not eat it if you see mould, notice an unusual smell, or find the lid bulging or the jar leaking.
4. We are not responsible for spoilage caused by how the jars are stored or handled after they reach you, for example being left unrefrigerated or used with a wet or dirty spoon.

11. Our responsibility to you

1. We take care over every jar. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under Singapore law.
2. Subject to that, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
3. We are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, for indirect loss such as loss of business or profit, or for loss caused by:
   • not following the storage and handling guidance above;
   • allergies or dietary needs that you did not tell us about, or ingredients you did not check with us;
   • what happens to the chilli after it reaches you, including cooking with it, serving it to others or reselling it;
   • taking or sending jars overseas.
4. Our jars are sold for your own household use. Please do not resell them or present them as your own product.

12. Things outside our control

If illness, a family emergency, an ingredient shortage, severe weather, public health measures or courier disruption affects your order, we will let you know as soon as we can and offer you a new date or a full refund.

13. Your personal data

1. We collect your name, phone number, address, order details and any allergy information you share, only to take and deliver your order, contact you about it, and keep simple business records, in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act.
2. We do not sell your data. We share it only with a courier when needed for delivery, or where the law requires it. We keep it only as long as we need it for these purposes and for our records.
3. You can ask us to show, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, by messaging us on WhatsApp.
4. This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of the normal web request.

14. This website

1. Information on this website, including photos, heat descriptions and food pairings, is general guidance. Photos are illustrative and your jar may look slightly different.
2. “Choose for me” is a bit of fun to help you decide. It is not a lucky draw, contest or promotion, and there is no prize.
3. The words, photos, labels and logo on this website belong to Ah Pa’s Chilli. Please do not copy or use them without our permission.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order applies to that order.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. If something goes wrong, please talk to us first and we will do our best to put it right. You may also bring a claim at the Small Claims Tribunals, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction.
